Web Development

• Administered and developed content for the library’s website on Drupal between 2008 & 2020 and on WordPress from 2020 onward
• Developed and implemented custom themes for the Drupal website based on the Georgetown University visual identity guidelines
• Configured Drupal core modules and installed & configured contributed modules including pathauto, Entity API, Webform, IMCE, Date
• Administered and supervised staff for use of online platforms including Springshare, Ex Libris Primo VE, and the library’s YouTube channel
• Implemented Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 accessibility standards for the library website
• Applied modern UX standards to perform user-centered research and produce wireframes and prototypes
• Performed several rounds of usability testing with undergraduate students for the library website and discovery platform, HoyaSearch
• Used Javascript and PHP extensively to enhance website functionality and usability
• Developed an interactive website for faculty to select library instruction modules using PHP and JQuery in 2019
• Developed a website teaching students about primary and secondary sources and how to find them in the library.
• Developed a website for creating lesson plans using the WordPress REST API for the back end and React for the front end
• Developed a website for exploring multimedia resources in the library including equipment and software.
• Worked with faculty to implement technology-enhanced learning using tools such as ArcGIS, Omeka, VoiceThread, and WordPress

Library Systems

• Configured and applied design customizations on the Ex Libris Primo discovery platform
• Created statistical reports with Analytics for the annual report and other reporting needs
• Integrated the library’s self-checkout machine with Alma
• Served as chairperson of the Ex Libris Users of Qatar (ELUQ) group since 2020 and developed the organization website with WordPress

Instructional Services

• Taught a one-credit undergraduate course (INAF-092 - Introduction to Data Visualization) in Spring 2020 & 2021
• Developed an interactive website for students to learn data visualization in support of the course Introduction to Data Visualization
• Recorded and edited instructional videos on information literacy and technology for the library’s YouTube channel
• Provided in-person and online reference and consultations including Zoom meetings and chat reference
• Created LibGuide content for course support and specialized content

Outreach Services

• Liaised with faculty as a subject librarian in multiple subject areas
• Developed a workflow to provide faculty access to streaming media content
• Performed collection development including selecting books and e-books
