Having a fairly good background in Javascript, the concept of a block in Ruby is a bit different for me.

Finding a balance between moving through the course material quickly and retaining what I’m learning

I’m making progress on the Procedural Ruby section of the curriculum and feeling pretty good about what I’m learning. I’m trying to pace myself - with the goal of retaining the information I’m learning.

For me, the hardest part moving forward with my coding was being okay with not knowing everything. An example, HTML is hard, but not that hard.

Beginning with Netscape

The year was 1999 and I was introduced to Netscape Navigator and the creation of simple web pages that gave users some information, showed them a photo or two, and had some links to other content.
