Making use of icons within a webpage is done through several different methods. Three popular methods include using an icon font, svg graphics, or purely css generated icons. Using any of the three methods has the advantage of maintaining a clear and sharp resolution on different devices and when scaled differently.

Typography and Fonts used on the web has evolved greatly since the early years of the Internet. For many years, web developers were limited to a handful of reliably available system fonts installed on most user’s computers. Today, however, there are many more options available.
